Update!

Today is the first day off I have had in ages...sorry I have been out of reach, July has been a crazy, CRAZY month.

I've been mainly been spending my time zooming all around the UK playing MASSIVE radio events, kicking off at the MEN Arena in Manchester! The crowds have been crazy. Thank you to anyone who came to check out my little shows! Hopefully I'll have a tour of my own coming up, I can't wait to play a full set and work   on a bit more of a show!

Another big deal....I filmed the "Defender Video"!!!!!!! We filmed it in Chelmsford's  water factory. There was lime scale falling from the walls (eww) and it was quite cold and lonely looking, but it had just the right character for the video. The video's story line follows a girl (that would be moi) leaving behind one world, stripping back everything that hides who she truly is and then going into battle to protect someone or something she believes in....but that's my little secret ;)

On Monday I played Switzerland's "Blue balls" Festival in Luzern- one of the most beautiful cities I have seen. We played alongside James Morrison and I just loved the whole show! I wish I was staying to check out the other acts on the line-up this week;THE ROOTS THE DANDY WARHOLES and GILL SCOTT-HERON...Pretty good don't you think?

I also have to tell you about this AMAZING show I am performing at in Paris on the 7th of October! It's together with Marc Cerrone- one of the pioneers of "Disco" music, which you all would know has a great influence on my new record.

Here you can read all about the even "Supernature Symphony". Cerrone wrote the entire symphony on his keyboard in the studio but on the night it's going to be played to 100,000 people with a symphony orchestra! AMAZEE!!!

Click on this link to get the full information and you can hear a preview of the symphony if you click on "symphony"

This week I am heading off on a little holiday of my own. I can't wait to just chill and relax- but something tells me I am going to get ichy feet!

Hope you are all well

Gabriella's Blog

hello, hello, hello everyone!

So as you all know I've been touring with Leona recently and I've been super busy! So I'm gonna talk about that in this blog.

The tour so far then.

The shows have been pretty much packed with amazing crowds. It's a real mix of people! At the last London show on Wednesday there were some people who were right at the front with a sign saying Gab's fab! Very cool!

Nottingham would have to be a highlight so far, I loved it! They've got such a great crowd!

I've really enjoyed the London shows too.

Normally I need to get back to London straight after each show though. So when we're out up north it's been hectic.

One trip I had to do recently was from Manchester to London to Czech Republic, drive 3 hours to a rock festival, then all the way back again for the next gig that next evening!

I still feel good though and I'm trying to keep my energy up and look after myself. We're going out after the last London gig which I'm really looking forward to!

I've bumped into Leona a few times. She seems really busy but she sent me a card at the beginning of the tour saying that it was a pleasure to share the stage which was really sweet!

Lots of people have been asking me about the vegetarian catering for the whole tour. I'm not a veggie myself but it's actually been quite nice, I never realized that Tofu could be used in so many different ways! It is good but just not sure about a Sunday roast with fake bacon. A bit wrong!

Apart from the fake meat substitutes there are lots of really nice vegetables and fruits backstage and puddings like chocolate brownies!

I'm trying hard not to stuff myself before going on stage though!!!

Quick mention about the outfits on the tour.

I've been wearing a sequin jumpsuit/shorts combo with chiffon drapes inspired by Donna Summers "I Feel Love" performances. It's really disco looking!

I love the labyrinth theme to the whole tour. A touch of Lord of The Rings. I'm a massive fan!

I also managed to sneak a peek at Leona's dressing room and it was sooooo nice! Loads of flowers, dimmed lighting, and scented candles. I was a bit jealous since we normally have those kind of sports changing rooms that you find at the back of stadiums as our dressing rooms!

Oh well when I have my own tour I'm going to have a personal Japanese chef! Haha, forget nutritionists and personal trainers!

New Gabriella Blog

Up early again...I don't like to complain about being Jet- lagged- because I love going home to Melbourne even if it's just for a week- so I'm stuck watching "Supernanny" again! booo!

Tonight I'm going to  present an award at the Soap Awards with Toady from Neighbours. I'm a little too excited to be honest. He's had some err...unusual hair do's over the years. I wonder if he will be wearing one of those Tropical shirts his character loves!

Speaking of Neighbours... I performed at the Logies ( The Australian TV awards ) in Melbourne last week. It was a super performance- complete with acrobats, dancers and pyrotechnics. I was a little scared my hair might catch fire or one of the acrobats would fall of the hoola hoops hanging from the ceiling- but it all went according to plan!  Matt Lee- one of the judges of "So You Think You Can Dance?" Australia choreographed the dancers- some were also contestants from the show. John Mayer, K.D Land and the Rouge Traders also played. I also got to have a boogie with some of the Neighbours cast which is cool.

I saw Regina Spektor in Melbourne last week!  She was brilliant I loved!! Her support act Jupiter One- Also great!
This was my favorite track

LOVE IT- WATCH IT NOW

Busy Busy Busy!

Hello, hello, hello everyone...it's been a while since my last blog...

I have not disappeared off the face off the planet, in fact I have been
all over it. From playing a gig in Hanger 7 in Salzburg, Austria (The
home of Fraulein maria) to playing the Grand Prix in Melbourne Australia.
It was nice to go home for a little while- even if I was only in Melbourne
for four nights! I got to see the family, meet Lewis Hamilton and get a
tour of the McLaren pits. It was a little bit annoying when they forgot to
turn my microphone on when I sang the National Anthem!! NOOoooOOoooOOOooOO
Well at least I got to sneak in a kiss on the cheek from John Travolta
before the race- He was waving the flag.

Another nice thing that happened was that my crew and I got to get dinner
cooked by a michelin chef in Salzburg at the Hanger 7. Some of it was a
bit too fancy but the final dish was superb- warm chocolate cake that
breaks when you touch it
with a spoon and pours out hot chocolate goo. YUM. My band also got to fly
helicopters over the snowy mountains. V.nice.-Thanks to everyone who
looked after us there!

Anyway more news...I am going on TOUR!!! You guys can catch me live
supporting Leona Lewis around the UK! It's going to be crazy
playing those Arenas! I hear the show she is planning is going to be ace so
I'm gonna have to bring it! So come a long if you can!
More goss...I'm shooting the video for my second single next week! I've
been busy getting fittings and organizing the outfits. It's going to be
crazy! I will post some pictures up from the shoot next week. The next
single is " Hearts Don't Lie" so get ready to blast it loud on your
stereo.

I'm going to go back to try and master the art of the harmonica- Alanis
Morissette eat your heart out. I also need to look on the net for some new
runners.
Hope your all doing lovelyyyyyy!!!!

A thank you from Gabriella

Hi everyone,

What a week....thank you, thank you, thank you, for making On A Mission top 10 in Britain......

I was sooooooooo excited when I got the call... I was in Milan doing a TV – had a hilarious time with the hairdresser there. He was wearing a very little tank top with both his nipples showing....

Apologies I forgot to take a pic!! Meanwhile.....I must say thanks to D&G – they gave me so many new dresses – soooooo exciting!!

Since then, I got to go to Belgium for promo – now, I fancy myself as a bit of a chocolate aficionado and I can assure you – the chocolate in Belgium is the best anywhere ever....particularly if you are like me and like dark chocolate. We had a 5am wake up call for three days in a row- and then I was too tired to go to the R Patz premier of Remember Me....gutted!!

Last night I went to Prince’s Trust Ball....Noisettes performed – Dan the guitarist is ace...

Anyway, my album is out on Sunday – hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I (mostly) enjoyed making it.... I am so excited for everyone to hear it....

Love Gab xxx
